I'm the author of The Shadowbound Series — three books about a sarcastic archaeologist named Juno, the shadow god she accidentally bonded herself to, a hellhound with a peanut butter problem, and the celestial war neither of them asked for.

By day I'm a computer engineer wrangling code and two feisty daughters. By night I'm in a hoodie, cursing at chapter fourteen, and explaining to my husband for the third time that no, this character cannot just have a normal conversation, the bond requires it.

I live in Australia. I drink too much coffee. I probably have ADD (I keep forgetting to make the appointment), I definitely have anxiety (Valium lives in my backpack), and I almost always forget to drink water. The dehydration headaches are part of the writing process at this point.

I believe the most romantic gesture in fiction is an aeons old immortal taste-testing your breakfast for poison because he loves you and is also, frankly, paranoid.

My husband is genuinely the only person who's ever made me feel truly seen. He takes care of me in all the ways that matter, and then some — which is suspicious, frankly, and probably means he's a shadow god in disguise. Jury's still out.

I'm a mom who loves fiercely, writes boldly, and occasionally hides in the pantry for five minutes of peace. I'm learning to be brave enough to take feedback, bold enough to grow, and soft enough to cry if you're mean about my book. Be kind — I'm excavating fate one chapter at a time.
